I recently had the pleasure of staying at a beautiful home called Villa Mariedda in an amazing location overlooking Isola Bella. the owner, Leonardo, was incredibly kind and accommodating, providing me with keys so I could come and go as I pleased. the property itself was stunning, with a private yard where I could conveniently park my car. Inside the villa, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and I found everything I needed in the well-equipped kitchen. One special touch was when Leonardo generously provided me with kitchen weights when I was baking a cake for my mom's birthday. the views from the villa were absolutely priceless, and it was only a short walk to the main road, the beach, and the cable car to Taormina. Cons: Liked everything! 😊.

Stayed at a charming holiday home. Had a TV and washing machine, so I could catch up on my shows and do laundry on vacation. Tried some activities in the area and had fun. Managed to survive without WiFi, felt like I time-traveled to the stone age.

No WiFi, so I had to communicate with my family through smoke signals. So inconvenient, but really added to the rustic experience.

The view from our terrace was to die for, I mean, it was like Instagram-worthy EVERY SINGLE DAY! And guess what? We didn't just lie around soaking up the sun. We went horse riding AND diving - like, how cool is that? We even tried our luck at fishing, even though we caught nothing but seaweed. But hey, we did it for the experience, right?

Okay, so here's the only thing we would've asked for more: PARTYING! Don't get me wrong, Villa Mariedda is perfect for chill vibes and relaxation, but as teenagers, we wish there was a bit more happening at night.

For the price we paid, we got amazing value and a cozy room. The location was a dream, with breathtaking views of the Ionian Sea from every room. The staff, particularly our host Leonardo, were incredibly kind and knowledgeable.

Breakfast selection could have been better, but the charm and character of the place made up for it.

Mind-blowing views, unique and atmospheric old house, friendly and helpful hosts, walking distance to beach and cable station, affordable price.

The terrace at Villa Mariedda is absolutely stunning! The panoramic sea views are breathtaking and it's the perfect place to relax and soak up the beauty of Taormina. As a guest who loves nature, I couldn't have asked for a better spot!

Personally, I found the air conditioning to be a little too cold for my liking. But hey, different strokes for different folks!
